Defining G.O.A.L.S.

My Balanced Life Begins With Understanding the Value of GOALS

We all have such great intentions as the New Year rolls around: changes we want to make, new approaches we want to take, promises we want to keep, goals we want to set.

But if the impetus is solely because a New Year has come, after the first week or two, the importance of these intentions often slips away, leaving us feeling demotivated and discouraged.

The challenge then is finding a way to incorporate change into your life that is simple, meaningful, and achievable.

To do this, we need to define what a goal is all about. I think of it this way: DIETS are fleeting and they begin with “d.i.e.”, LIFESTYLES are lasting and they begin with “l.i.f.e.”

Defining your G.O.A.L.S. to mean

Getting
One
Achievable
Lifestyle
Support

involves identifying just ONE key factor that will make a difference in the way you live your life and finding the right support to ensure it happens. Simple? Yes. Meaningful? Yes. Achievable? Yes.

So, here is my GOAL for the New Year:
~I will read one new book every month (Simple)
~This will deepen my knowledge and allow me to be a better Certified Health and Wellness Counselor (Meaningful)
~I will share my thoughts about that book on my Newsletter (Achievable)
