Granola au Commensal

Makes 14 servings

  • 5 cups oats 
  • 2 tablespoons sunflower seeds 
  • 1/3 cup chopped walnuts 
  • 1/3 cup sliced almonds 
  • 2/3 cup shredded coconut 
  • 1 cup golden raisins 
  • 1/2 cup bran 
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds 
  • 1/3 cup sunflower oil 
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup 

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Mix all the dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Combine and slightly heat the oil and syrup. Add the liquid mixture to the dry one and mix well with your hands. Spread the mixture on a baking sheet and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until dried and lightly toasted. Let cool, then store in a sealed container in a dark place. Enjoy with soymilk, if desired.
